Durre Shahwar is a writer and creative practitioner. She runs ‘Where I’m Coming From’, an open mic that promotes BAME/underrepresented writers from Wales. She is currently doing her PhD in Creative Writing at Cardiff University / University of Bristol. Durre is currently working on her first book of autofiction about growing up as a South Asian woman in Wales. She writes about a broad range of topics, including race, intersectional identities and mental health. Durre has been published in various anthologies and is a regular speaker and performer at various festivals and events.
